Terry Vaughn Referee of the Week Award Nominations Open
All NISOA referees who are 2025 members in good standing with their local chapter and the national office are eligible for the 8th edition of the Terry Vaughn NISOA Referee of the Week presented by Official Sports! This biweekly honor (6 winners total) starts September 7th, 2025, and ends on November 16th, 2025.

Members can be nominated on a biweekly basis by any NISOA member, Conference/Chapter Assignor, Local/National Leadership, or National Referee Program members (National Referees, National Assessors, Regional Assessors). This recognition is not limited to officials in the National Referee Program, nor limited to only the referee position.
Nominations can be from all levels of collegiate soccer and must include a reason why the NISOA member should be recognized. Off the field contributions will be considered as part of the selection process. This initiative will assist in identifying and recognizing our highest performing members throughout the country regardless of including but not limited to gender, age, ethnicity, religious views, or years of service
A winner will be selected every two weeks by a committee based on the merit of the nomination. Only those officials nominated within the nomination period are eligible for Referee of the Week recognition. There is no limit on how many times a NISOA official can be nominated within the collegiate season.
Weekly Winners & Nominator of the Winner will each receive a $50 gift card from Official Sports. Nominations are to be submitted using the following nomination form provided to membership.
In addition to the gift card, a donation will be made to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America in the name of Terry Vaughn, NISOA Hall of Fame Class of 2016, to help improve the lives of those affected by Huntington’s disease.
