A Grateful Farewell to a Respected Leader, Mentor, and Innovator

It is with deep gratitude and admiration that the National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association (NISOA) announces the departure of Corey Rockwell from his role as Senior Director of Education.

Corey’s time with NISOA has been marked by transformational leadership, tireless dedication, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in officiating education. Since stepping into this role, Corey has elevated NISOA’s educational programming to new heights, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, connection, and integrity across the organization.

A decorated former FIFA Assistant Referee and one of the most respected figures in American soccer officiating, Corey brought a unique blend of world-class experience and an approachable, mentorship-driven style that inspired officials at every level. Under his leadership, NISOA introduced a modernized curriculum, launched interactive online training resources, and expanded mentorship initiatives that have left a lasting legacy.

“Corey’s passion for developing referees was evident in every clinic, video session, and initiative he led,” said NISOA President Jude Carr. “He has impacted the lives and careers of countless officials, and his influence will be felt for generations. As Corey embarks on his next chapter, we wish him continued success and happiness in the journey ahead.”

As Corey steps away from this leadership position, we honor not only his many contributions but also his enduring belief in the potential of every official who puts on the badge. His legacy is not just in the programs he built, but in the people he empowered and the community he helped shape.

We thank Corey Rockwell for his extraordinary service, and we wish him continued success, fulfillment, and joy in his next chapter. NISOA is better because of his leadership!
